Clamp down in Paris

Apparently a registered letter is being sent by the Mairie of Paris to Airbnb, Homeaway and three other rental sites saying that adverts which don't indicate their registration reference must be withdrawn. Seems to be linked with the requirement of a maximum 120 days per year rental presumably linked with protecting hôtels.
Could it spread throughout France?
If anyone knows more, please let us know.
