just found this, looks good re marketing

So, in the search to become less dependant on the hideous HA, I started looking at birdwatching holidays (my cottage fits that bill) and found this promising looking site, cottage cooperative. If you click on advertising, lots of sites come up (dog friendly, pub friendly, real fire, beach holiday, golf friendly etc etc) and the rates for each site are about £12 to £24 a year.
I searched this forum before I put this here, but can't see anything about them, but will put link here. Looks promising to me as a way of marketing to niche guests (I have a guy and his wife who come for two weeks twice a year to trudge about in the mud of the salt marsh estuary looking for oyster catches etc...in February...and November..all the dead months..all the way from Scotland...whatever floats your boat etc)

whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't....you're right

Last year we advertised on 3 of their sites at a cost of £48. Not a single enquiry and when I tried to contact them by email I got no reply. Although the cost is low don’t expect much for your money.

There's been a thread about this before: viewtopic.php?t=27157&highlight=cottage+cooperative
