water meter wales

Post by RoseHadden »

Hi, our water bill seems to be going up and up. I ran the quick usage calculator on the welsh water website to see if we could save by having a meter fitted - we only occupied around 30-40/52 weeks so seems likely we should save as starting off at an advantage, but wondered if anyone else had any practical experience ? We can't assume how much water our guests will use of course :o) Thanks in advance, Rose

It's cheaper - until you get a leak when if you're classified as a business the water company may not be so kind as to let you off the resulting huge bill.

Mmm didn't think of that, especially relevant after recent cold snap. Always keen to save pennies but may be more of a headache that it's worth, esp if people use the hosepipe to rinse off wetsuits and boats, maybe better as we are where we know the maximum cost. Thanks
