Rural or Town

Hi, Looking for help towards renting our property in Cuevas Bajas (Andalusia) out. This is a village of approx 1000 residents, would this be classed as Rural or Urbanised? We have running water and mains electric (if that's a consideration).......also, how would we go about obtaining a license.....do we even need one?
Thanks for you help

If you search for Andalusia under the Spanish section of this forum then you will see all the information, and more, about how to go about obtaining a licence to rent your property for vacation let.
I am not 100% sure on the way the classification goes but I would have thought it would depend on how your property details have been registered as.
It is always worth confirming with those issuing the licences.

It is likely to be rural and you will need a licence which is pretty easy to obtain. Make contact with your local town hall and find someone useful. The Spain-holiday website has very useful information on their Rental Buzz link at the very bottom of their web-page (under 'What we offer'). I think a link is here:

Just another quicky.

Do I need to take any documents to the town hall and if so, will copies do or would they need the originals?

Cheers All

Went to the Town Hall, they said I don't need any permission from them, just go ahead and rent it!! Surely this is not correct?

I also need an agent to look after our property and lettings, do any of you have any recommendations?

they are correct. But they should tell you how to register to rent out a vacation property
read the first section https://www.spanishpropertyinsight.com/ ... ental-law/
You can register on line here
http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/turismoy ... ax=&total=
or go to your nearest Department of Tourism in Andalusia office.

To continue our request for help, can anyone advise on how much we should be paying for a meet and greet service to include cleaning the house (3 beds), laundry and small pool. I've been quoted 10% of total rental fee for meet +10Euro/hour for clean (4 hrs pre-visit plus 4 hrs post-visit) + 10 euro per visit minimum if there is a problem, +15 euro per hour to clean the small pool.

Thanks for your time and all the advice thus far.
