I'm in that phase of looking for a domain name for my holiday cottage in Wales, is it important to have a .co.uk or .wales or .com.

I've read so much confusing and conflicting advice, is it so important as most people use google and don't even know the suffix?

What are your thoughts?

I would go for .wales and then .co.uk. A holiday cottage is linked to a particular area and is not international or US so .com is not really appropriate (and is more expensive)
