Changes to the Airbnb hosting calendar
In May, we introduced improvements to your calendar. We continue to refine the calendar and plan to make the following updates on August 28, 2023:
Removing the Airbnb email alias feature
- Custom trip length with restricted check-in day: We'll preserve the settings you make prior to August 28, and you can remove them at any time. To set this up after that date, use the new custom trip length feature located under Availability > Trip length > Custom trip lengths in your hosting calendar. You can set restricted check-in days under Availability > More availability settings.
- Custom weekly and monthly prices: if you've set custom weekly or monthly prices for specific dates, we'll preserve these prices, and you can remove them at any time. After August 28, you won't be able to edit old or set new custom prices for specific weeks or months. You can still add weekly or monthly discounts to encourage guests to book longer stays.
Airbnb messaging is the primary and safest means for Hosts and guests to communicate with each other. Because of this, we're retiring the email alias feature on September 30, 2023. You can still securely send documents by sharing a link with your guests in the Airbnb inbox.
Bad news from AirBNB
Bad news from AirBNB
We received this e-mail last week, bad news as usual. I don't understand the purpose of removing custom weekly and monthly prices. All their changes are made to complicate the management of a holiday house.
Re: Bad news from AirBNB
I think you have to use a booking system which is API linked to Airbnb. These restrictions then don't apply.
