Lay My Hat

I was contacted by phone by a company called PPL PRS who tell me I need a music licence. I have a complex of 10 cottages, one of which I live in, we don't play music outside or in communal areas. They tell me that because I provide radios in the cottages, I need a music licence - does anyone have any experience of this? I don't actually provide radios, just TVs which have radio stations as well as TV stations - which all TVs have.
I've googled them and they are a legitimate company but very unhelpful.

It seems that PPL PRS ( = Performing Rights Society) is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. They grant "licences" in return for money. I presume the money is shared amongst musicians, singers etc. who have joined in with them, and this company takes a cut.

It all sounds very official and governmental, but it's not. On their website they give answers to FAQ's. But the answer to the question which I wanted to ask - "What will happen if I don't and won't pay their licence fee?" - was noticeably absent.
