Insurance... Accidental Damage Cover - Yes or No?

Agencies and other headaches, keys and cleaners, running costs and contracts...in short, all the things we spend so much of our time doing behind the scenes.<br>

Insurance... Accidental Damage Cover - Yes or No?

Post by MichelleB »

Hi guys

Do you take ‘Accidental Damage Cover’ with you insurance??

With cover it’s £480
Without it’s £230

Our excess is £250 and I’m just wondering if it’s worth taking it or not as it seems anything that would be replaced at most is £300 eg) a sofa

Any thoughts

TIA

Michelle

I don’t know what sort of property you have but I’ve just paid my renewal for contents and buildings and it includes accidental damage, a lower excess and is less than midway between your quotes. Who are you insured with? I’m with Schofields.

Homeprotect was the lower price
Intrasure was the higher one.

I did an online application with schofields and they said no. We have a holiday lodge, so assuming it was because of that. I’m just very nervous not having accidental damage cover.

I think you’ve answered your own question then??
Insurance is all about peace of mind and sleeping at night.

I have it for both buildings and contents.

If a guest smashes a lavatory and floods the place I want to be covered!
