OK, I’ll let you in on it - we’ve all run away. Couldn’t take it any longer. Goodbye, cruel world.

Yes, I see what you mean. I suppose this counts as the “new normal”. Can’t advise, I’m afraid, it was different in the old days, I collected the payments myself and it kept the old cashflow going during the off season. Others may have up to date suggestions.

Boa sorte!

It seems that they're all on the owners groups on Facebook. It's frustrating to see all the questions that have already been answered in depth on LMH coming up over and over again on Facebook. It really isn't the best platform for it, this is so much better - it's been a lifesaver for us over the years.

And no ones's tried to introduce themselves in the (sticky) 'round of introductions' for 4 years - until I did today that is. But the cafe seems dead - hello? hello? I feel so lonesome I could cry - who said that, ah yes... Elvis...
I came, I saw, I bought it.

I think we all used to "broadly" in the same boat - and used the forum to discuss what now seem fairly innocuous issues - how to manage air-con use, late arrivals, cleaning advice etc.

So much has changed.

Now we're all in our own individual worlds - not worrying about anything except "will i get a booking", "i've got a booking, will they come", "i've had a booking, they had a great time, thank god for that - couldn't care less if they weren't ideal guests - we got some income" - and we all live in different places with different rules, (amber/green/red; town/province/country border closures etc etc). Some of us rely on the income, some of us have other jobs.

I think that's why it's so quiet here.

Yes, totally agree Sunbeam.

Have you seen the recent news article showing a happy couple who’ve booked two holidays in the knowledge they’ll cancel one ! They think it’s fine because of course the owners can re let ...

Words fail me at this point.
