England Lockdown 2 (November)

Post by DaveN »

With the predictable absence of guidance from the government, what is your understanding of the latest restrictions?

We have guests in this week, but presumably we have to ask them to leave by Wednesday?

We're in the same boat, guests arriving Monday & leaving Friday. At the start of the last lockdown guests were allowed to finish their stay, so hopefully it will be the same this time.

We’ll have to wait for the detail, scheduled for Tuesday, of whether people away from their own home must return immediately, or can finish a holiday if reasonable; no point in second-guessing.

The “lockdown but not really a lockdown” doesn’t kick in in until midnight on Thursday.

Looks as though we have an answer. Guests who are already in can stay, but will have to obey the lockdown rules.

The key paragraph being
"Inbound international travel will continue to be governed by the travel corridor approach, and those currently on a domestic holiday will be allowed to finish their holidays, but are still subject to the requirements in England not to go out without a reasonable excuse."
