Who rents Holiday Homes?

Post by dubbsstar »

Hi all,

I was wondering who the target market is for my ( hopefully ) soon to be renovated Cornish holiday home, it's a 4 bedroom semi, about 0.5 mile from the Eden Project.

It seems people do okay in the business down in Cornwall, but I wondered who rents these homes. I guess my point is that, for some of the rates that people charge during peak time, you could get a foreign holiday in the Sun and still have change!

cheers,

Dave.

holidays in Cornwall

Post by Topcat »

I think it's still quite fashionable to have family holidays in Cornwall, especially if you are near a beach and attractions, and especially if you have young children and don't want the hassle of taking them through airports. Remember, it costs as much for a child as an adult on Ryanair etc.

I can't see you failing to do well. I don't know the specific area you mention, but it sounds as if you might be near St. Austell or Mevagissey, both great for families. I lived for some years in Truro, and during the Summer the A30 was always jammed nose to tail with holiday makers.

I look forward to seeing your finished site.
