Holiday home in Dorset

Hi, I'm new to the forum. We are thinking about buying a 3 bedroom house in Christchurch, Dorset to rent out. Does anybody else here have a place in Dorset, Devon or Hampshire?

UK cottages are a rarity on LMH; most owners seem to be on the Continent as my parents would say. Note the use of "cottage", which seems to be more appreciated than "house" (even if it is a house, like ours).

I am happy to give you the benefit of our experience of the UK market; we are in North Norfolk.

Thanks! We haven't actually found a house/cottage yet, as we currently own one in Christchurch and rent it out through an agency (not as a holiday let though). Developers want to build flats there, so this would give us the opportunity to sell it and buy a place in a more desirable location.

Hi, We've just embarked on letting out our cottage on Gold Hill in Shaftesbury in Dorset. It's provoking a good response from those who see it - we just need to get more people to decide that they just have to stay there! Good Luck

We have three properties (two apartments and one cottage) that we rent out for holiday lets in central Sherborne on the Somerset/Dorset border.
