Paul,

Q. What’s the difference between “against the law and a “sick bird?

A. The first is “illegal and the second is an “ill eagle.

https://www.donotcall.gov/ Dont know if you can register overseas numbers but just tell them your on the National Do Not Call Registry anyway, they can then be fined for calling you.

You can also just tell them to stop calling you, and if they don't they can supposedly be fined as well -- or at least that's how it was before the Do Not Call list.

I would suggest treating it is a nusance call and either just hanging up (without engaging in conversation at all) or just leaving the receiver at the side of the phone for a few minutes whilst they use up their phone bill.

They will get the message very quickly !

By sheer coincidence, I run the Corsica Do Not Call List, which is based on the US model. I just checked and your numbers are on the database. The penalty for cold calling you is $2,000 per event. If they call again, please tell them to mail their check to my usual address....

Hi Paul,

I had a call this morning, also from a US outfit. Wonder if they're related? (AlwaysonVacation..I think it was). In fact it was a follow-up to another call I had forgotten about two weeks ago..

You were too soft on them the first time round Rocky! Goes with the territory though, doesn't it! Soft and cuddly....
