Hmm... I'm not sure that I'd advertise on a site with "cheap" in the URL, even if it is free! :?

That's a hell of a name. There must be hundreds, maybe thousands of sites offering the same.

What kind of message does it send out about your property being associated with this site?

Thank you Brenda.

I don't think it matters what free sites we use, they see the price if they find you and can then make up their minds.

CheapHolidayRentalsDirect. Agree, an appalling name. But then again:

alifrank1,

Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of the free listings sites, however I do steer clear of the ones that look tacky as in my own personal opinion it has a reflection on your property.

Jimbo,

Maybe Noel Coward would have changed his tune if he was renting holiday properties.

Hi Paul

I went to Noel Coward's old house some years back on a job, kept as a sort of shrine to him. I confess that Noel didn't look like a man who might dip his toe in the holiday rental feeding-frenzy.

OK, how about:

Michael Bergdahl wrote:

Hope that reassures you!

Maybe Michael Bergdahl should give Gerald Ratner a Job.

"We also do cut-glass sherry decanters complete with six glasses on a silver-plated tray that your butler can serve you drinks on, all for £4.95. People say, "How can you sell this for such a low price?" I say, because it's total crap."

But my favorite was ""We are cheaper than an M&S prawn sandwich but probably wouldn't last as long"

The site does have one funny/stupid idea - the Box of Destiny. Close your eyes for 5 seconds and click on it (this bit doesn't work too well) to see listings in a random country. What's the point of that?

  probably appeals to Sagittarians

or those people who booked holidays knowing the destination, but not the accommodation they were staying in (remember that ruse?)

Nice site, shame about the URL This would perhaps work it they would only allow listings that are say... under 500GBP a week. Build a reputation as the website to visit if you're looking for a rental within a certain budget. Theres one listing there that is £2,500.00 a week. Why start a new rental site with the word 'cheap' in it if you allow properties like that? I hate the word cheap no matter what.. but there's possibilities here.

I clicked the Destiny Box and I'm heading off to Malta now.... :)
