Very interesting reading - but why did the guy phone her before emailing (as instructed) and how did he get her tel. no?

And if he could get her number & contact her by phone - then why couldn't every one else?

And would anyone take an apartment to live in that they hadn't looked around first?

And why didn't she immediately contact 'craigs list' and get the ficticious entry deleted...thus giving them a chance to take action instead of mentioning them as part of the scam.

This shouldn't put people off using Craigslist though. It's a highly effective marketing tool here in the USA. I also have yearly lease properties and use Craigslist to rent them out. Just got to be careful along with everything else.
