My problem is not identifying scams – they are so patently obvious.

My problem is in wondering why scams continue to exist. My conclusion is that they continue to exist because some people fall for them, incredible though it may seem.

Avoiding becoming a victim is the easiest thing in the world.

Yes, it's remarkable isn't it Fluffy. Maybe we're in the wrong business, and should all become Dr X or Pastor Y,(or oil baron Z now) with a bucket load of money to spend on a long term let in two weeks' time in an apartment in deepest Slovenia!! At least we'd have better grammar, spelling and punctuation! And maybe we'd be cannier in whom we targeted. Might take a bit more time - we'd have to email punters individually for starters, but what do you think?
