From the moment they step through the door your bookings become guests, and their experiences determine whether they ever come back.

Thanks everybody for your kind words - and Fibi my sympathy to you too! Luckily it has been so dry recently so I'm not too concerned about the wheelies as there has been no damage to the lawn and tonight all the bikes were put back tidily (I had a little word this morning when they asked to borrow the bikes again).
Apart from a steamer broken, nothing else has gone wrong today (touch wood) so I'm a little more relaxed. Thank goodness the school holidays are for a limited period only! But I am grateful for the number of bookings we have and I suppose the increase in 'problems' is only relative to that. Fortunately it's my fifth year of letting and am capable of resolving any problems that happen with the property pretty quickly - but managing the behaviour of guests and their offspring is always more of a delicate issue!
