just in a testing phase with our video villas.
The filming is basic, and somewhat jittery! but will be getting a professional in soon , if it is looking like clients are interested in the videos.
we are receiving many hits / views on the pages.

Hi Andy,

Just reviewed your Pervy-o-la Villa video. I think it's a great idea and would make renters feel confident that nothing was being hidden. Glad that you didn't put any music at all on it. Folk music and classical could make the market too specific and cheesy-porno musac must be avoided at all costs!

I liked the variety of fade tools that you used to cut between scenes.

I think that a camera tripod would make the clips look smoother and more professional. It would also allow you to alter the hight at whcih you shoot to get the best angles in tight spots.

I've been told that the best way to shoot vids is to have a wide view and then move it into a close up on a paeticular detail. (Perhaps a wide shot of that huge pool and masses of sun loungers that moves into the barbecue?)

Have you considered a commentary on the video? It would be great to have the owner's voice to give the tour a more personal, welcoming feel. They'd have to be enthusiastic as a droning voice sayong noting more than, "and this is the ktichen, it's lovely" would drive people away. You could even have your beautiful assisstant flouncing around the villa in her bikini, opeing cupboard doors, bouning on the bed and stepping out of the pool etc... now that should get you some web traffic!

Oh, Big Sis! I'm not all that bad an infulence, just misunderstood! I still reckon that the "bikini tour" would generate lots of traffic because guys couldn't resist forwarding the link to a mate. Maybe there should be a version featuring adonis-like gardeners and pool-cleaners to get the ladies talking!

D'y'know... I'm wasted on the day job, I reckon iAlan Sugar should have me on The Apprentice!

Well hopefully a task that involved bikinis! Not so sure about becoming a rich business tycoon from holiday rentals, that seems to be beyond me....

Just had a look at your videos. As you say, a bit jittery, but pretty good in spite of that. What you need to change, especially on the first one, is the angle. They're too much looking down - I keep feeling I'm going to hit my head on something.

But the idea's good, and a terriffic first go. Unfortunately I've seen some professional apartment videos that are so dark they put people off altogether, and yours are much better than that.

Sorry if I come cross as a bit negative - I don't mean to be.
