Scam ?

We run residential & non-residential art courses & received the following:

'hello,
i am intrested in your advert on training for arts/ drawing.i am a brish national that will be coming to france for some exchange programme.i will like to take the advantage of that to train myself if you will take me.how do you charge and where are you located? please reply asap'

This looks like a scam to me, but as we have, so far, only advertised in a small local magazine, I'm not sure.

Any opinions ?

That's what I wondered, but I think I will follow it up just to see where it goes.

Must tell the magazine (the CBJ) that thier magazine goes as far as Nigeria

No English person writes in that way. My guess is that they're either written by an African, or someone on the continent, from the style of writing.

Why not suggest that the local police offer free accomodation with meals provided.
