Looking for B&B in or near Hayden Bridge Northumberland

Post by gh »

I can remember noticing that one of our members has a B&B in the Northumberland area, however, after a search of the memberlist have drawn a blank.

Does anyone recall seeing the property? Much prefer to give business to one off our members. :)

Helen, I think you need Sue Dyer. Lily Cottage, Belford, Northumberland, I think?

Apologies Stu & Syb, made the title more specific. Sue was my first thought if she did B&B and was closer. Any guest would feel right at home in Lily Cottage. :)

The place I am thinking off was not far from the wedding venue on the A69. Going through various threads, definately remember seeing it, somewhere!

Thanks folks,  (blushing!) I'm a bit off track for there and booked solid.

When do you need the B&B for and I'll ask around for good recommendations. cheers!

Thats excellent Sue. Looking for 3 db rooms for Saturday 28th July. Not too far from Langley Castle if possible.

Afraid it the usual scenario, sent out invitations 3 mths in advance as it is quite a way for our relatives to travel, yet some have left it to the last minute and are having difficulty getting accomodation. Haydon Bridge is full and really don't know the area at all.

Very much appreciate you doing this for me. Thank you so much. :D

Have you tried the tourist board? Hexham and Corbridge are not too far away if necessary.

Hi HelenB yes I mailed them hoping they have local availability, haven't had a reply as yet. Perhaps on at the start of next week.

Feel a tad put upon and a little stressed to tell the truth, as we have given the guests in question a list of available accomodation with their invitaions 3 months in advance off the date.

We have learned from this, when #2 daughter marries later this year we will be more aware (read as book accomodation now).

Hope Sue can work miracles.

Our cottage www.theoldcountrychapel.com
is not far from Langley castle but unfortunately we are full booked until mid-september
Have you tried Langley Castle http://www.langleycastle.com/late.htm

or you could try http://www.thereadingroomshaydonbridge.co.uk/
I think it has only been open about a year, we pass it regularly
on the way to our place.

Sister stayed in a B&B there when she went to a wedding, so I asked her where, but she couldn't remember. Apparently it was a good wedding

Hi Stephen, Your place would have been perfect shame for us your full.

Langley Castle is where the wedding is taken place we have booked all 21 rooms and most of Haydon Bridge B&Bs.

Will call your other suggestion now and hope they have availability. Thank you very much.

Must have been HelenB

Helen

Edit; Just called and they are full too. Ah well back to the drawing board.

Ros you crack me up. :P

My thoughts are this-

I am trying to find places for those who didn't book accomodation; even though we sent them a list of places months ago with their invitation.

They haven't booked, I can only do so much for them. Our youngest celebrates her 21st birthday, days before #2 daughters wedding, her birthday arrangements are now foremost on our minds.
