I've had a makeover!

Well, not me, (I wish!) but seeing the fab job that e-Richard did on GG's site, I asked him to do a makeover on my site which I'd added to and really bodged for the last couple of years.
I'd really appreciate your comments on what you think - the content hasn''t really changed, it is more the layout, colour scheme and photos.
The new site is here
http://www.brittany-cottages.co.uk/newsite/index.php

the old one is still live if you want to compare and contrast. We are aware there is still a problem with the meun bar in Safari, but is should be OK in Firefox and IE 6 & 7 - I'd appreciate any comments if you use different browsers.
Thankyou for your time!

Hi LV,

I always thought your old site was great, but the new one is even better, it looks more 'professional' somehow. I would book in an instant if I was looking to visit your part of the world. Beautiful.

Looks great!

I'm in Firefox on Linux, and the "Us" part of "Contact Us" spills into a new line. But FF in Linux often looks different from any other browser and it's not likely to be used by much of your market, so it may not be anything to worry about...

Brooke, I do worry about little things

Does it still do that now ?
I just removed a "couple of pixels" from each item.

Nope, all on the same line now!

That's the mark of a great web designer/programmer -- attention to details that only a very few will ever notice. :)

Well, that has to be the best endorcement!
Thanks for all your positive comments, I'm really pleased with what has been done, especially the splitting up of the detail of the invidual cottages (the previous cottage page was very long and not very user friendly, plus it must have taken ages to load if you didn't have ADSL!)
I always liked my old site too, but I think a more professional look definitely has the edge. Richard is definitely a star, goats and cows can be surprisingly demanding

Any other comments welcomed, positive or negative!

The only negative for me is that I have to scroll across a little to read the whole page, probably just my settings.

Hi, it does look a lot crisper but there are two niggles for me.
One, there seems to be a lot of 'empty space' at the top of the page and two, I am a picture lover and the pics are smaller now.

Party, are you using safari? There is a problem there at the moment, but otherwise I'm not seeing lots of white at the top.
