First of all Cathy, I just want to say that your property looks fantastic - I´m deeply jealous..

Re your blog - Nice stuff, but I think you could ease up a bit on the hard sell in at least some of the posts - the newsy stuff is fine and speacks for itself.

Also, the typeface is a bit heavy going in the larger blocks of copy - perhaps something sans serif (like your website) would be easier on the eye.

Only my opinion...keep up the good work!

we have a few rubbishy blogs all over the internet (myspace, etc) but they are mostly just cut and pastes of various info on our website stuck up there to help with SEO and to make sure anyone who might stumble upon us in a random place can get enough information about us as possible!

Seeing as I keep a personal blog and tumblr I decided Tumblr would be a nice easy (and fun) little addition to our online presence and so just yesterday I set it up.

www.sherbornecottages.tumblr.com

Not much on there yet. I intend for it to have bits and pieces about the apartments - pictures, guest comments, etc - but as we have a lot of that on our other websites (facebook, etc) i thought it might be nice if this one wasn't such a selling-machine and had just some little thoughts and comments on the town itself and things to do in the area.

If any of you are on tumblr it would be fun if you followed me and then i could follow you back - i'm intrigued as to what other renters might be doing on there as most of the site is hip 20-somethings blogging arty photography and song lyrics (darn it! now you know what my personal blogs look like... hahaha)

Hi

I have several blogs, it's one of the things I do for a living. If any seem overly commercial please feel free to delete but I hope a couple will amuse and help people.

Personal: Our renovation project and gite: http://la-fermette.com - not much here at present but updating weekly.

General opinions on French stuff: http://frenchlife4real.com

The title kind of gives this one away: http://bed-and-breakfast-marketing.com

Comments welcome.
Sig in same state as gite - work in progress!

My blog is Brittany and Pays de la Loire focused, and is relevant to English speakers living, working and visiting those regions. I'm always looking for good guest bloggers who might want a little extra exposure for themselves whilst helping me add content... so please let me know if you're interested.

The blog is here... http://www.unevacanceenfrance.com/

Our Thailand blog from under a mango tree

Post by ThaiCharles »

We have a Thailand Travel Tips blog aiming to give information not only on Gecko Villa itself, but also more general Thailand travel advice, Thai recipes, some more outlandish remarks on the kingdom from former British ambassadors...and a frustratingly enjoyable game involving some obstinate frogs (only attempt when sober!)

Your Holiday South West 'cycling' blog

Post by Unibond3 »

Hi Goosey

I logged on to your blog to give it a quicker perusal, and have just spent my entire lunch break reading it. What a wonderful tale (and labour of love). It's a very enjoyable read and I'd recommend it to anyone with nothing to do over lunch.

How much did the Wheezing Geezers raise?

Best wishes!

Thanks very much Rick. We raised over £ 5000 shared between St Nicholas Hospice and Medecins Sans Frontiers, so we were very pleased!

Whilst we are waiting to get the renovations done so that we can go live with a website, we thought that we would practise with a blog.
The aim is for the blog to be a centre to promote what is going on in the area.

http://officersmess.blogspot.com/

It needs pictures, but any other feedback would be great.
