Good luck - but as you say you are a winner already being in the final three - I've got everything crossed which is making it difficult to walk!!!!!

Turns out they shortlisted 4.

The awards dinner is tonight so you can have a guess today as to who will win.

I won't see what you post as I'll not be logging in again until tomorrow!

Considering 1 or 2 of the others in the competition were jolly good too I'd say:

I got it right then decided I wanted to make it red, but it won't work for some reason! Usually does, but it's moody this evening! This is what happens!

Congratulations John,

As mentioned before we stayed at Limefitt and got some great pre-visit information about the site/area from your website that SLP didn't provide.

Your site is great resource that makes you stand out.

Now make the most of the publicity, pr, links etc.

I've been thinking about that.

Any ideas?

So far I've written to our local paper, and had someone from Cumbria Life trying to sell me advertising in a feature they are doing on the awards (minimum spend £280 for a small ad - it seems which looks quite steep to me - what does anyone else think?).

I'm not very well up on this sort of stuff so any advice would be welcome

John

You are going to get the free publicity from the article so I certainly wouldn't pay for the advertising, as it's too short term. The Tourist Board should give you some help with publicity. Do you have leaflets in their office? I would also mention it in your listings and list on Gumtree, which gets picked up quickly by the search engines.

I would however add something prominent on your homepage and add it to your signature on the forum. You have 1 year to make the best of it.

Good luck

Chianti
