Inappropriate search phrases

Post by Normandy Cow »

I've just checked the stats on my blog, and although we've had a lot of hits, in the past 7 days, every single search phrase which has been used to find my site has had nothing to do with holiday rentals!!!!

These are the searches that people have used to find us:
farrow ball light blue
DINING ROOM CEILINGS
le gaillon
dining room ceiling painting
beams on ceiling dining room
hardwick hall kitchen
painting rooms brown
long rugs next to bed
german dining rooms
ship kids' room
decorating house beams interior
paint wall ceiling
refurbishing mattress
catuffe lamps
chocolate brown paint dining room
pictures of painted dining rooms
painting dining room ceilings
exteriors painted in farrow and ball pai
london wardrobe
quiberville beach
decorating with soft blue and white
paint beams doll's house
beds for sale that have drawers on them
yellow kitchen units worktop ideas
catuffe lamps

Why am I not getting people looking for "self catering accommodation in Normandy"????!!!!

Is it your blog that is pointing peeps to your site with these search terms NC? We get lots of visits prompted by search key words/phrases which don't include the word 'holiday' or 'rental' but which still relate to a feature of our area. Of course, they too don't usually result in a booking enquiry!

No froggy, we don't have a german dining room, so I haven't a clue how they found us with that search phrase!

I had coveted these for years but they would never have looked right in our UK house. When we decorated the kitchen, I finally allowed myself to splash out. I've been terrified that someone would damage it, but, touch wood, it's been fine now for two years....

I've just checked mine. Oddest is "Northumberland Fish John"...

Wood burning stove and stone walls seem to crop up a lot.

Oh, just had a visitor from Bejing too!

NC - aha! Thanks for the lamp explanation - they're very pretty!

I think the oddest searchphrases to date are "how to create a romantic parisian bedroom" and "romantic rental keys"!!
Okay, they contain obvious keywords but I'm fascinated at the thought of someone searching for that!! (probably another rental owner sprucing up their place!)
