Anyway, for those of you who fly into UK frequently, have you checked out the way to avoid immigration queues for UK Citizens ?.
I tried it earlier this month at LGW, and while there was a long line waiting to get thru UK passport control, I went to a separate line - with no-one in front of me, stared into a mirror and was let through in about 20-30 seconds.

We had local celebrations here at the border last night at midnight - very strange to see the 2 border guards, 1 from each side, dismantle the last border sign. In an hour's time, we have 5 assorted ministers from the 2 countries arriving for official celebrations, with TV cameras and all.
Quite exciting and very moving. A long way from November 1989 but still important as the final step to a united Europe, in the middle at least!
