What a great article - and what a great house!

It's even better in real life - I have very fond memories of eating lunch off that kitchen table a couple of years ago, when I popped in to see Jenny whilst we were both on holiday on the Ile de Re. I'd just come back from the fishmarket, on my bike, and got caught in a massive thunderstorm so Jenny took pity on me!

It really is a lovely place...

Ooh am I? Have you said anything yet then Ros? Have I got time for this too? Can barely keep up with existing forums (fora?) and emails! Serious TC here, this should all be moved to the 'Do you Twitter' thread shouldn't it?

Just off to get dressed.....

When I look at holiday rental websites, I’m always struck by the quality, diversity and terrific value on offer. With a few exceptions, most are great properties in stunning locations, lovingly prepared by their private owners. You just know that you’d have a wonderful time at any of them. Sometimes – and RR’s is a shining example – the sheer quality and meticulous attention to detail of a property is such that you’re aware the ante has been ratcheted up by several notches.

So, congratulation to RR (and the other high-enders) who continually improve the quality standard and give the private rental industry such a good name. And encourage the rest of us to raise the bar rather than settling for ‘good enough’. Trouble is, Jenny’s unlikely to stand still for long. I suspect that we’ll always be watching that elusive bobtail vanishing over the horizon!

Aw, thank you Jim, everyone. You're really kind, but I'm sooooooo embarrassed, total cringe moment.... better stop protesting, I 'spose, or I'll really start looking like a silly bunny....
