Yes that's where I was too, but I think you have to paint enough of a picture without imposing yourself too much on it, leaving room for the guest to put themselves in there ...

Sentimental certainly has its place, but maybe not here. I'd suggest something a little more direct, but still talk to your visitors as real people...
