Ah-hah! What a good idea!

It does puzzle me, though, that this would work whereas a blank image wouldn't -- how odd!

But this works and it looks good. Congrats!

Lee,

One other little thing I should mention. The virtual tour opens in a new window but that window doesn't close when you click "Back to Home Page" or "Availability". The home page, or the availability page, opens in the second window which I feel sure is not the intention.

Lee,

Would the virtual tour page not be better with no links at all? To tidy it up I think it just needs a "close this window" button.

Good point Alan.

If the virtual tour hyperlink was a "New window" type link from another web page then maybe so. The reason for the links under the instructions was to give the visitor an opportunity to see the availability of Sarah's apartment but also be able to return to the home page if required. Perhaps these could be a smaller font (Take a look)

I am always open to suggestions, what do you think?

Lee,

It's just a slight annoyance having to close multiple windows when leaving a Website, that's all.

Sorry, you've got me confused now, where are the multiple windows open?

Lee,

I hope I can explain this.

You have included a link to "Virtual Tour" in two places. The first is within the top menu options, the second is within the "Featured Property" section on the lower left.

Dealing with the top menu option first, clicking on the "Virtual Tour" option takes me straight to the virtual tour without opening a second window. I have tested it in IE, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape and it is consistent.

Clicking on "Virtual Tour" in the "Featured Property" section is not consistent. Using Netscape the option takes me straight to the virtual tour without opening a second window. However, using Mozilla Firefox or IE, a second window opens and displays the virtual tour. If I then click "Back to Home Page" or "Availability" the focus remains on the second window. This results in my having to close two windows when leaving the Website when viewing with Mozilla Firefox or IE. Not really what you intended?

Are you even more confused now?

And it works!

You once said I was quick with my comments. You are quicker with your responses. Sarah is very lucky to have someone like you looking after her Website.

Lee,

Looking at your own business Website is interesting for me. Once, a long time ago, I was a member of a Law Society Steering Committee looking into the possiblility of creating a case management system for lawyers involved in criminal law. It never came to anything because of cost constraints but it is not too far away from your own specialist offerings. If I remember rightly the forms involved were the major technical bugbear.

You are right Alan. Initially the forms do take some time to create, but once stored within the application, they are easily amended (Police forms change every year!)

Needless to say, once set up, all forms and data link up and offer all the usual facilities from a Database Management System such as retrieval, updating, printing and storing.

Any system can be developed but as you mention, sometimes the cost puts clients off. I am pleased to say, we have never had that problem because we have been able to keep our costs down.

Perhaps the Law Society Steering Committee may find out about us?

Lee,

It was a long time ago and, like so many of these things, the Steering Committee steered itself into complete oblivion.
