I've been browsing using firefox and suddenly got this message:
The page at http ://wwwprotectionread.com says:
Windows Security Center
Virus (l-Worm.Trojan.b) was found on your computer
Click 'OK' to install System Security Antivirus
If I click cancel instead of ok I get
Windows Security Center recommends you install
System Security Antivirus
The only option to click on to remove that box is 'ok' but when I press it it takes me back to the first box above, so basically it won't let me get rid of it. Is it imperitive or is it something I should try to ignore, never know if these things are important or not.

That's the thing, the 'x' on the firefox bar has disappeared, well, the circle is still there but it's no longer red, it's grey and nothing happens when I click it but if I double click it it just does that thing where it goes tiny and jumps down to the bar at the bottom of the screen
My safari browser is still fine, hence being able to post.

Yes, very occasionally I get 'stuck' in similar circumstances with windows appearing with messages informing me I've got this or that and advising me to click to cancel or click to install.
I always click to cancel, but when it sticks I shut the pc down and re-boot just to play safe. Usually I'll do a scan and virus check just to make sure all is OK plus an update of my anti-virus software even if I should have done one the previous day.
