Fraise,

Thanks for your unique response.

Ah! My original posting has miraculously been re-edited to include the site name.

Anyone else prepared to say Yes or No and if Yes, What?

Alan

Never heard of them....! Found them via Google..seems like it's not just for apartments..found townhouses and villas on a search for properties on Costa del Sol.

I think what is happening there is that when you do a search the phrase is unhelpfully 'highlighted' in white, making it invisible. If you get to the same thread without searching on that phrase, it is visible again.

I too have never heard of them by the way.

Here's another site which spammed me with an e-mail this morning:-

golfinfrance.com/index.php

It might be of interest to those in a niche market.

And, if one today wasn't quite enough here is another.

PropertyWorld.com

At this rate there will be as many rental sites as there are properties. Well, not quite but you know what I mean.
If they are any good at SEO sites like this will fill the first few pages of results and nobody else will get a look in. My guess is that they are not and they are not about to change the world either.

I didn't bother looking, but just have  you're not wrong, it kind of looks like they are flogging insurance, or some other dull product

Paul.

And to add insult to injury the guy selling insurance doesn't know the difference between insurance and assurance.

Another candidate for the "deleted items" bin.

I got that e-mail too -- the question is, should I try unsubscribing or should I just report them to their ISP?

This is the fourth e-mail I've gotten from them, and I want to stop getting them one way or another.

Should we remove the "www" in front of the URL? I'd be worried for Paolo's sake that propertyworld.com is considered a bad neighborhood by Google.

why not apply the 'nofollow' attribute to the links on the forum?

Well, links to good neighborhoods are really good for SEO, so I wouldn't want to turn off link following entirely...
