Renting a property in Spain

We are used to renting property in France - we have rented out our own one there for 14 years. We have also stayed in other regions of France. However we have just sold our house in France, and are looking to have long touring holidays in other countries. I hate the likes of Homeaway and Holiday Let...

I've been finding it frustrating too. I'm looking generally at the moment as we haven't sorted out the dates for our 'grand tour of France'. I'm looking in all sorts of areas for properties that accept dogs and are reasonably priced, to work out a short list for when we work out our routes. I'm also...

Chez Nous special offer??

Hi - we've just returned from a long stay in our house in France. (Newly retired!! hurray!) At some point, either just before we went, or early on in our stay I remember reading about a special offer for advertisers. I thought the time limit for the offer was ok for when we returned home a week ago,...

OMG - I am SO glad I decided not to re-subscribe to OD when my listing was up for renewal in December. We have not had a particularly good rental year since, but at least I haven't had the nervous breakdown that I could have had should I continued. I still read through all these horror threads and m...

Social Tax

We have just received our French tax bill. We rent our French house out to holiday-makers in the summer months. We don't live in France. For the first time they have added Social Tax. We have read somewhere that this only applies to people who reside in France. Does anyone know if this is true? Than...

I used to use FC years ago and it was good to start with, then not so good, so I changed to Owner's Direct - which was brilliant, but we all know what that's like now. So when my subscription ran out I decided to try FC again. I've only had a few enquiries, and only 2 became bookings.

I think I hate referendums. They become too emotional and nasty. In the Scottish in/out referendum, I really didn't want the Scots to leave, and was sad that as an Englishwoman I didn't get a vote, even though the outcome would change my country. However, by the end I was almost thinking - let them ...

I must say I keep hearing verdicts from a range of people, where their intended vote is based on the flimsiest of rationales. Quite literally they're upset because there is a Polish deli further down their street, their friend at the art class has children who can't get a council flat because of &q...

Thanks Felicity. I am still doing a few tweaks, but I am happy with the website, and proud that I was able to do it, as I am not techie at all.
And I put on the small ads where I work on Friday, and today have got a booking through it, so it has been worth it!

Mouse, I can't believe I am able to answer a website question!! But having just done it, I know how to do it. When you upload your photos they appear on the working page with 'Add caption' or 'Remove' under them. After you have added your caption, it changes to 'Edit caption' in case you later want ...

Thanks for the positive comments. They make me feel better. Re some of the comments: The photos: They are selected from the hundreds I've taken over the past 12 years or so. When I started uploading them I couldn't understand why some of the more recent ones wouldn't work. It said file too big. So I...

I was happy with the photos because they loaded fine with me, but just concerned that it may not be that way for others.

I should have learned not to comment on PMP sites. l am not an expert at IT in any way, so I found it a very easy site to use. It was probably going to be the only way I could build a website. I'm not cross because you criticised PMP. But I am concerned about the photo thing, as I didn't see it hap...
