Agree with all the comments about how lovely the property looks. You've obviously spent a lot of time decorating and furnishing it :D I hope you've now received all the information you require for taking bookings. I remember that I too was very nervous the first time I had to deal with real guests :...

Can anyone advise me how to take credit card payments without using Paypal or HL Book Now?
(Bearing in mind that I am in the UK and do not have a French SIRET number or whatever it's called)

Thanks!

EDIT:
Slapped wrists, I've done a search on here and am now off to look at Paybox....

Snoozeboy: It was very similar, almost following on from the earlier program (which I'm sure was only a few days previously). But they did mention that Paypal does not have the same level of protection as a normal credit card transaction so that should not be used either. I'm really fed up with the ...

BBC Radio 4 seems to really have it in for rental owners :-(

Yet another episode of You and Yours concentrating on holiday scams (on Friday). I won't go into details now (you can listen on iplayer), but once again they stressed that holidaymakers should NEVER pay by bank transfer as it is "not safe". Rental owners should always provide the option to...

Goodbye Brenda, and good luck! :-)
Enjoy your freedom - my parents ran a small hotel in Bournemouth throughout my childhood and they were only really able to relax and enjoy life to the full once they stopped and we finally had a proper family life ;-)

I have often thought this too.

If a site got me two bookings in July or August, then I wouldn't say "oh well, the cost of listing with it was worth it because i got my money back with those two bookings" , because I would have filled those two weeks in any case using other methods.

I have to say though, I think cutting down on bread and pasta most of the time (even on the non-fast days) really must help too! I'm not saying I never eat bread, for example when out and about it is difficult to have a snack without resorting to the carbs, but I try to religiously ignore them on th...

I'm a bit late into this thread, but not to the 5:2 diet! I did it last autumn after I saw the horizon program and I can comfirm that YES IT DOES WORK!!! I went down from nearly 10 stone to 9, and it was surprisingly easy to stick to. I think it's because it's not too much of a hardship if you're on...

Also, what will happen if/when you want to add/replace items?

Don't get me wrong - i love TK Maxx, and buy lots of things there. But in this case, I would recommend you order from outofeden.com.

So you can fill empty days, weeks or month s without having to invest in a full annual listing. It's free to list your home...
