Hi,
Yes, it's now set to one url, as the point of it is to link to your property, rather than add link juice to multiple links.

Re: Strange request
Maybe the scam is that they ask you to pay a customs fee at the other end so it can be delivered to them.

Daily Telegraph request to rental owners
If interested you can reach her through her Twitter address: Hi, I wondered if you could help me with a feature by posting this request to your members or forum users. I've been commissioned to write a feature on holiday let owners who own quirky properties for the Telegraph's money section. I'd lik...

Re: VRBO VAT Nightmare
Isn't this just the normal VAT you pay on services whether in UK or EU? And nothing to do with being VAT-registered?

Re: Where Are Your Guests Coming From?
My experience in France is that it is back to normal this year in terms of guests coming from beyond France and Europe. The last two years were mostly French guests but that is over now, they are no longer forced to staycation.

Yes, here is some information: https://www.laymyhat.com/portfolio/ota-comparison-airbnb-vrbo-booking-tripadvisor-what-are-they-and-which-is-best-for-owners/ I don't find it easy to get the exact same amount from different sites, you have to put in your dates like a guest to see what numbers come out...

Re: Tripadvisor Update your status - business or consumer
This is to do with a new EU directive known as the Omnibus Directive, this is from Tripadvisor support pages: What are the recent changes to EU/UK consumer protection law? New laws in the European Union (EU) and United Kingdom (UK) (often referred to as the Omnibus Directive or New Deal for Consumer...

Re: Tripadvisor Update your status - business or consumer
I think that if you are a company rather than an individual you have to have certain details visible to consumers - company name and number, address, how you store data, etc. I assume that is what they mean by 'a business' - a registered company.

Re: House insurance
If that is an option then why not, but I am not sure that you can get the insurance you need from a UK provider. You can't from Schofield's for example. Another approach is to ask your renters to have the required insurance. They can do that with Albinet online here . It costs from 3.5% for high ren...

Re: House insurance
The question you need to ask your insurance provider is: am I covered in the event that the house is accidentally burnt down by its occupants during a location saisonnière, who have no insurance of their own? Because what a French insurer means by 'you are covered' generally translates to 'you are c...

Re: Airbnb do away with damage deposit
Following an unsurprisingly negative reaction to these changes from owners/hosts, airbnb has backed down and removed the threat of owners having to pay for alternative accommodation.

Re: Airbnb extenuating circumstances
I haven't had any problems with airbnb or other guests but note that things are now worse for owners since the recent changes discussed here: http://www.laymyhat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29793 Not only do guests have longer to raise a complaint, but you would be liable to pay for their alternative ...

Re: Airbnb do away with damage deposit
Yes you would have to include every possible eventuality in your house notes. Apparently there are plenty of blogs out there dedicated to the subject of how to get a free stay via airbnb, now they can also write about how to get a free upgrade. I had a quick look at that airbnb community forum, the ...
