Actually I'm pretty sure all of the users have been English/UK.

We havent had any problems at all with using SmartBox, they seem to be a well organised company and I know other local B&B's who use them, if we cant accommodate guests on the dates they want we advise them to try the other local B&B's and they do the same for us. I believe these vouchers ar...

Thanks all, I think I will go with my gut feeling and not pass on my details to her. She has been very rude via email, so dread to think how she would treat our holiday cottage! Good idea about having another account just for payments to go into to be on the safe side. She doesn't want to give me he...

Do I give my bank details?

I have had an enquiry from a lady in Spain through Holiday Lettings. Her English is very poor so we have had some odd emails. She is VERY pushy and bombards me with emails on a daily basis. I was ill for a few days last week and didn't even turn the pc on, when I did I had some rather rude emails fr...

Greenfrog - NO! no close links with the site at all. I don't know who they are, just believe in giving some new businesses a helping hand as I know what its like to start out. I did send them a friendly email pointing out spelling mistakes, so they've obviously taken that on board and corrected thin...

For goodness sake, give him a chance!
(I hope you are checking your websites for spelling and punctuation)
Its a new site, there are bound to be a few teething problems.
When we first put ours on we were constantly changing and checking things - and still do!

I didnt notice the spelling mistakes - unusual for me!
It looks like a good site, I was sent a very polite email and there was no hard sell.

Just reading this thread has made me think about our situation - our cottage has a buy to let mortgage and we let it out on a weekly holiday basis, so the mortgage company I assume cant have any complaints. However we have not registered it as a business with the local council and are paying council...

I put an ad on Ebay 2 days ago after reading this thread. So far no enquiries but Ive just checked and Ive had 31 viewers - not bad.
Mind you, not had anyone ring or email to enquire in the last 2 days either :(

Thanks pepsipuss. I have been trawling the web and can only find patchwork quilts which are well over £100. As I want to buy 8 of them so I can have 4 on the beds while 4 are washing thats rather expensive. Mind you I have bought numerous duvet covers which are now useless as I bought cream and they...

duvets/blankets/sheets...

We've just come back from a lovely weekend in Avignon and stayed in a rather super duper hotel! We had the most enormouse bed which had a bottom sheet, another sheet, duvet with no cover and then a top sheet. Is this normal for France? The sheets were changed every day which was lovely but I pity th...
