There are serviced flats available on a monthly basis but as a rule of thumb they are double the price of normal ast flats. I get more than 1k pcm for a 1 bed in zone 6, on an ast.

Maybe ask local agents if they have any voids he could take.

I did ok as cut my min stay to 2 nights, and increased my cleaning fee. It's a villa with private pool so q safe, also once I started taking ha bookings I fitted their algorithm so got more. This year was going to be my swansong, but i reckon I may do the same again again next year but with someone ...

I am actually staying in my rental villa this summer as only letting my regulars in. At weekends some of the villas turn into party houses, sorry I don't want to alarm anyone, but realistically how is a remote owner going to prove anything. Also, any renters wondering why they are targeted by thieve...

Ok thanks German actually, part of party is coming from another country and having to quarantine.

It's a spanish villa so I can provide the service so not a frustrated contract, so i do not have to refund. Renter says he cannot come, he booked it way before any lockdown.

Are you refunding in full where you can provide the rental accom but the guest has to quarantine on return? Or offering a credit towards future holidays. I have a late but fully paid up cancellation, readvertised the week but no takers. Renter wants to move booking to next year. On the flip side I b...

Terrible business I just use ha as a window to the world. Incidentally did anyone get an email last week with update to their terms saying that if you get binned off ha, I assume by taking private bookings, you have no recourse to ha. I am so glad to be rid of them, they just keep getting worse, and...

Yes ha algorithm for ranking is for their benefit not yours. In denia spain for eg there were c 200 rental units within 5km radius. On ha there are now listed 11200. On closer inspection thats really a 50km radius. 're subs I was on a paid ha listing and over the last few years ha sourced lets have ...

Yes i have gone commission only on ha, I really did not like the way they operate either and I can see them getting worse, whatever they can get away with really.

I felt a bit nostalgic having been with them 20 years.

Oh dear sorry to hear this, I had a similar experience. A newly fitted bathroom, repeat guests came and chipped the side of a silicon bath. Something sharp and with downward force. So I emailed them asking them what on earth they had done. Tbh I really thought they would fess up, the daughter wore m...

Thanks for posting about the ha email. I got as far as the CEO wanting to reach out and stopped reading. Ha are terrible if you do business direct with returnees, their algorithm dumps you at the bottom. My own bookings here in Spain are almost zero so I have written this year off and am enjoying th...

Ha used to fill my villa for c 20 to 30 weeks per year. I reckon 2 years ago the algorithm for ranking dumped me down to 600 of 11000, so i have done nothing since with them. I ll stay with them on commission only as like mousie I have put my contact details on the site so do direct bookings. I reck...
