Hi,
We've used both Principality and Cumberland. Cumberland were very easy to communicate with when we arranged with them 3 years ago - there was just 1 chap who sent me all info and answered emails swiftly with appropriate advice.

I had an enquiry from this person yesterday. The name and the sign off 'Gerald' didn't match so my husband suggested I search for the email address on google. The email address is endlessluve29@gmail.com and it is listed on https://www.bbcanada.com/bb_stay_alert.cfm as a scam email address. We had ...

Hi Just wondering if anyone has come across this chap? First contact with us was brief via 'cottage gems' requesting 4 weeks November-December. The poor grammar and length of stay made me suspicious. We had a booking mid-way through so just replied with sorry full dates unavailable and referred him ...

Message templates on HL/TA
Evening All, I just went on to my HL/TA dashboard and noticed under 'my listings' a heading for message templates. I think this is new. My templates were the ones I set up in the old days, (one of which contained my telephone number, which of course recently has been blocked). There is the option to...

We have been with IC since June last year and have had 29 enquiries, and 9 bookings. To begin with they were probably our most frequent source of enquiries (clearly that depends on how many other sites we advertise with), but since the early part of the year enquiries have become few and far between...

Just to add my thanks, to those from my lesser evil, for your comments. We have considered all your comments. This is what we have done. We have: - added a photo of the bathroom. - used the Highlights widget (thanks I didn't even know that existed) - considered briefly whether I should changing the ...

Very many thanks for these helpful comments. The to do page is something I've been aware ought to be there for a while - just need to get organised! It's great to have other things pointed out - some seem quite obvious once mentioned! I'm interested to know what people think about the photos. We wer...

We have had the same situation recently. Our guest booked last year when we were a subscription listing, so I Think HL didn't have a booking fee. Our guest didn't pay on time - she said she didn't get the email, but has subsequently continued the booking directly with us. We were sent the deposit, l...

Hi Everyone, We advertise with HolidayLettings/TA, AirBnB, CountryCottages.net/com and Independent Cottages - they get us most of our bookings. The site is there to enable people to book direct having being enticed by the write ups on the other sites. overall bookings are good but Alison (my wife) t...

Country cottages online
Hello All, We are just looking at new places to advertise as we start to 'go it alone'. Does anyone use countrycottagesonline ? If so how have you got on with them, and how have they performed. We are a country cottage (in Suffolk), and when I google they come up fairly high in a variety of searches...
