Hmmmm, not sure!

Post scam emails to warn other rental owners, or if you are not sure if an enquiry is genuine, put it up here and see what others think.

Hmmmm, not sure!

Just received this via Flipkey (my first ever enquiry from Flipkey).

"Hello, In response to your advert on your apartment for rent. My company is sending me to your country on an official assignment in August 2010 and I am being posted to your area. I will like to rent your apartment for the period of (1 Month) that I will be staying in your country. Pls do give me the following information. 1. A brief description of the apartment 2. Cost for 1 Month rental. 3.The address of the apartment I will be waiting for your response. Hope to hear from you in earnest...... My Regards.... "

The name is Robert James. Think the English is a bit of a giveaway, and there is only a hotmail address, nothing else. It's for 1 person for all of August. And I wouldn't dream of giving the address until I send the contract etc.

And with my nasty suspicious hat on, my cheapy deal with flipkey is about to expire, and I intend to cancel it due to no enquiries at all.......

What do you think?

I thought so too! Just wanted to check. Searched the Scam forum with Robert James and found one from about a year ago which used exactly the same wording, just a slightly different name.

Is it worth informing Flipkey?

Thanks
