Anyone ever come across a 'David Trak'?
Just had an enquiry for 3weeks in October; something 'not quite right' about it tho' the English is perfect. Ghana phone N°!

Just a quick update: I've been contacted by two other rental owners who've had almost identical enquiries from Mr Trak. He's still in touch with me and has informed me that his wife is coming to France for medical treatment and he will need a chauffeur driven car.

I rent a suite at Whislter Canada .this David Trak wanted to rent my suite for 1 month so his wife could go the the doctor.When I asked him questions I new there was someting wrong.

After a period of silence a bankers draft (Bank of Ireland) for 5,500 Euros arrived in this morning's post, no covering note but I'm assuming it's from MrT.
Apart from, obviously, not depositing it, how have other people dealt with this?

Only my wife can answer that question

Just spoken to the Bank of Ireland who are saying that the draft is a forgery and there's a lot of it about. The details on their drafts are always typed whilst the one received here is handwritten.

To answer your question, no one has actually got as far as sending me a cheque before. Perhaps it should be returned to the issuing bank with a covering letter? Or passed on to the Fraud Squad although I don't know what they would do with it.

I don't think I would just bin it as there might be some come-back.
