This is not a good example, but my latest was "the bed was too hard and you could do with a nice foam topper". This was from the first guest to stay after I've bought a beautiful new pocket sprung bed.......

We're clearly getting used to softer beds with all the memory foam etc available.....I hate hard hotel beds, but this definitely doesn't fit that category.

Never mind Nemo - we can´t please everybody where beds are concerned

...shame it was your first guest post purchase though...hopefully the next lot will be more appreciative..

A letter of complaint sent to the agency we used to let through: "We had to leave the cottage early because my daughter was traumatised to see a cow toileting out of the window." (word for word!)

Interesting choice of words I thought.

I can quite understand that seeing a cow toileting out of the window would be traumatic, especially if the window belonged to your holiday cottage and you were outside standing under the window at the time.......

Once again it raises the question of deposits.

"Some towel rails for wet towels would be useful in the bathrooms."

Not sure what she thought the heated chrome rails already in the bathrooms were actually for. :)

No locks on the bedroom doors.
It is better to remain quiet and have one think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt....

Our apartment is in a ski resort. We had a renter call us on arrival to say: "I didn't realise it was up a mountain - it's too high and my wife is scared. Can we have a refund?" That would be no...

Recent guest feedback:

The apartment was very nice, exactly as described but nothing more  :?

  I love that Mark!

No migrating herds of wilderbeast out of your bedroom windows then?

Mine was that the bedroom was too cold, in August, and could she have a duvet. I suggested turning the a/c to a higher temp might solve the problem.

But it would have been cheaper for you to provide a duvet, wouldn't it?

I don't think so TC...she had the a/c set at 14 degrees (!)...so encouraging her to put it up to 19 degrees (recommended sleeping temp I think) would actually have saved me money as less energy is used
