Handling Private Mail

Post by Mountain Goat »

I'm struggling with PM.

If I get a PM, I reply to it by pressing the Submit button.

Fine.

But these replies sit in the Outbox, rather than the Sent box.

Does Submit = Send?

Thanks. I know I'm being thick.

I think they sit in the outbox until they've been read by the recipient.

Correct, then when they have been opened, they move into your Sent box.

This confused me for months, until I, too, raised it with Paolo - (by email :D). It's a huge a relief that I'm not alone in the goat world for being a bit slow to get my hairy head around this system. However Goat, we musn't run ourselves down. I doubt that there are any more of our number out there, hooves poised over a keyboard right this second. I can do 2 words a minute now too!! Mobiles are more of a problem though.

Jane
Be careful if you come to Cyprus (paradise island etc., British beer, fish 'n' chips, 24/7 World Cup), it's no place for the likes of us, and we appear on our local taverna's barbeque menu tonight.

Thank you for your cousinly concern, MG and I will add Cyprus to the growing list of non-grazing venues. I'd keep well out of sight until the embers have died down if I were you, and let me know when you're safely home.
