We are in Chiclana as well, Brendan.

We have found that the ones that last the longest are the flat plastic ones which only have an adjustable backrest - we must have had two of those since we bought the house 10 years ago.... they have gone brittle and one has a split but we now put them up on the roof terrace out of sight and we use them up there... despite the CDL sun beating down on the roof terrace they are still OK.

Haven't got a pic but we managed to find some in Eroski about 2 years ago - they usually do them in green or white, occassionally other colours and those two are still OK, a bit faded but no one seems to mind.

We choose sunbeds with the least adjustment and few metal parts! No cushions either. Usually we pay about 30-40 euro and we have to throw them out if they break... which they do....

Good luck!
