Andalucia Rental Licence - 12 week rule

I posted the original question.. we have just arrived at our house in Spain and it wasn't a neighbour it was the Junta de Andalucia who notified the local police that we were a registered tourist let. People in the area who have licences are registering the passport details of their guests with the local police as we are now. I have no problem with it - as like the previous poster says it makes you feel more secure knowing who is in your house.

My concern is the 90 day rule that seems so ambiguous. This is the first time though that I have actually seen a piece of written legislation about it so it looks like it does exist. People in my area who have licences have not heard of this 90 day rule either. It is not though in any of the paperwork I have been given to do with my licence. I don't speak Spanish.. so if anyone does ring the Junta de Andalucia and finds out what the ruling is please do post here and let us know...
