Airbnb & Homeaway fined by Barcelona Town Hall

Just seen an article in 'The Olive Press' - Barcelona Town Hall has apparently fined Airbnb & Homeaway €60,000 for advertising accommodation that wasn’t authorised by the Registry of Catalan Tourism.

The BCN/AirBnB was in the Spanish newspapers too. How can a website be fined has never been explained. Did it even go through the courts is impossible to know.

So at the moment the jury is out on this one until we hear the money has been paid.
Never try to out-stubborn your guests.
