Switzerland section

Post by Mountain Goat »

Can I request a Switzerland special interest region section for LMH?

Being dumped in Rest of the World is not inspiring.

We can do better than 1 posting / 18 months (Caribbean).

I will behave; promise.

No yodelling allowed.Only well behaved goats,no extra curricular nibbling.Within those parameters, Paolo might be persuaded ?

"New ways with Toblerone stains"

"Help! My Alphorn is acting up!"

:D

I'd be quite keen on this too, as we are very close to Switzerland...

Great!
That's 2 convinced, just another 1130 votes to go, thanks.

I'm sure we could have some honorary membership of the group for Firebug, and even start a Geneva-Airport-on-Winter-Saturdays sub-section?

But look at the marketing opportunity - everything on two legs is a skier, and therefore a potential punter.

Just a simple sandwich-board, and a handful of business cards....or I'm sure I can rustle up a snowman/woman costume from the attic.

I'll do alternate weekends if you do the others?

Goat,

Would you allow me to join your very well behaved 'Swiss circle'?

Would an (expired) Swiss passport help swing the vote ? :D

Hi Jenny

It is well-behaved, isn't it?

You've got to work gently on Paolo, preferably by PM - he gets these little nudges every so often. For some reason he's hanging on to the Caribbean section, with one post in 10 years, and it's just a little editing to have the Swiss section up and running in all its glory. I've got a flag saved up as well.

Good luck....I'll be there, and remember:

Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno

Right Goat,

All hands to the deck then! :D

I believe the Swiss are renowned for their patience and negotiating skills, so I would say the odds are in (y)our favour...

Probably too late, but you could lash out SFr5 on one of those cow mooing devices - they're really cool - and, as pointed out ages ago, great for cold-callers or for a bit of country background atmosphere when answering the phone to potential punters.

Most of the tourist tack shops at GVA airport stock them.

And by the way, I'm sure you know, there's an excellent bakery on the top floor (departures) and a good supermarket (Migros?) down past the train station counters (possible probs. with shops closed tomorrow?) at basement level.
