Hmmm... counting my bessings, and sympathies to those who are being bugged; wonder what's keeping them under wraps in Gascony then - Google mentions wasps, and birds such as tits and warblers. We do have a few wasps around, but not in epidemic proportions. I wouldn't know a warbler or a tit if I fell over one!

Now now, behave!

Kevin tidied up the side of the house today and moved a piece of wood which was leaning against the wall and he found:

Well I can tell you What I do but i'm sure someone wwill have an easier way!

1. Take the picture :D

2;Put it on your computer

3. Upload to an image handling site - I use flikr but there are lots - this will format it for the web/e mails and also give you a URL for it

4. Copy the URL

5. In your post click image then put in the URL and then click image again

Me too!! The picture that Enid took was excellent as I now know exactly what these leaf bugs look like! So far "touch wood"...I haven't seen these in our garden at the villa (as yet!).

However down here, we do get huge black flying wood beetles (I don't know the exact name, but that's what I call them) that emit a screeching sound when they are resting. Females neatley bore through wood to lay hundreds of eggs which, after hatching in turn eat themselves out as adults. As we have a Sauna I am constantly checking it for signs of sawdust on the floor which is a classic tell tale sign they are happily eating their way through!

Seen it all now, thought I would have a look to see where they like to live and how to get rid of the little blighters and came across this recipe for them erugh...

Will definately ask our cleaners to go and check the house is clear of them before our visit next; my OH laughts at me and scares me with them; like a horribly little brother would.

Dont mind spiders even mice, it's these pesky things. Ah well on with the research.

Hi Enid,

Thank you, but I was just hoping there was some sort of 'cheat mode'.

I think I will continue to use my avatar.

The lovingly arranged garnish of roasted whole bugs in serried rows across the top! Can't wait to try this one!

Wonder what MIL would think of it? 8)
