Ditto here. Wrote my first website in 1996 using Notepad alone. Man that was hard work, but I'm glad today as its sometimes easier to copy/paste and modify code then it is using modern WYSIWYG tools with all thier peculiarities (a.k.a bugs).

And to add to Brooke's useful tip, I have been known to use deeply nested tables, and to unravel the mysteries, I temporarily set border=1 and use a different color on each table border.
