Useful site

For those of us who sometimes struggle with the language, this link was provided by my son (who doesn't struggle and is going to do a French degree in October). Apparently there is a verb conjugator on there too, which is very useful .

I also very much like www.wordreference.com for translations (and conjugations, when I feel unsure of myself). They also have a discussion forum where idioms and such are often discussed. When you search for a particular word in their dictionary, the search is also performed on the forum and the relevant matches are returned.

I did use the about.com site recently for a good subjonctif explanation.

Looks like there's lots of web resources out there now!

Or for simple loss of concentration, the chalk swiftly dispatched in your direction. :D

Returning to language, when I was 11, and at school in Oz, I was sent to see the headmaster so he could explain what an adjectival clause was! Can you imagine that happening now? No chance!
