Phoning possible scammers

Post by Taff2 »

I was just showing my son Paul's list of scam indicators.

My son works for O2 and pointed out that the phone
numbers starting 070 (or+4470) are not just mobile
numbers but are premium rate numbers, where you are
charged a minimum of 50p per minute.

So watch out, it's another way of getting cash out of you.

Cheers

Can't imagine phoning back one of those scammers, but that's seriously good advice.

I've had 2 emails recently asking me to phone back these premium numbers, one was from my ad on Gumtree and the other on French Property News, so they are about. I didn't phone of course, the e mail addresses were both yahoo and the english was pretty bad!
