Post scam emails to warn other rental owners, or if you are not sure if an enquiry is genuine, put it up here and see what others think.

Tell me it gets better. I've only been advertising for less then a month and 2 out of 4 inquires have been scams. The first one took me a while to catch on, it was only when he wanted money returned to him by Western Union that I got it. The second one sounded funny so I googled the name and sure enough I found a scam warning under it on another site. I'm horrified by how common this seems to be.

Bizarrely, when we started advertising too the first couple of enquiries were scams and then 3 or so years later nothing since.

I don't know if these guys have got softward that harvests the newbies, but don't take it to heart.

Just keep your wits about you and don't be suckered in and they'll soon pass.

It gets a lot better and soon you'll start reaping the rewards of all your hard work.
