Not Sure About This One

Post by Marks »

This is a copy of any email received this morning direct to my email address so not through a listing site:

I have a new email address!

You can now email me at: xxxxxxxxxx @ rocketmail.com

I want to book for 2 weeks accomodation from 8/3/2009 to

22/3/2009 in your facility

- Glenn Mitch

It just seems an odd one to me so would welcome any comments before replying.

'Facility' is a fairly standard scam word, but you never know. My standard response, to any email request for a booking, in slightly more polite language is: to process a booking we need to receive the booking form our website and payment (credit card or bank transfer). If they can do both of those, they are OK.

It's the use of the word facility and also the "I have a new email address!" as if I know him that makes me a little suspicious.

Mixture of Americanisms and Brit-style date format doesn't ring true?

Also "Glenn Mitch" was in a Babysitter and au-pair scam.

Cheers MG. That gives a Yahoo email address and rocketmail.com redirects to yahoo.com. Think I'll bin this one.
